Virginia based fine artist, Leroy Brown Jr., has sharpened his skills in painting over the last fifteen years.  A retired Marine, Leroy maintained painting during his off-time throughout his earlier years bringing his original artwork and dream into fruition.

Leroy’s evolution into the fine arts allowed him to inspire others to pursue their passion as he was simultaneously pursuing all the while serving his country.  His use of folk art through the vivid colors and movement portrays real life memories at an instant glance.

A native of Natchez, Mississippi Leroy has lived all over the southern and eastern part of the United States as well as overseas.  Inspired by artists- Ernie Barnes, Hank Herring, and Pablo Picasso, Leroy has high hopes and dreams to build the brand that he has already laid the ground floor for.  His clear vision is to market his artwork, and to build a brand -Leroy Brown Art instilling in others young and old that following their passion is indeed important.

"Prophetically producing profound pictures promoting peace, power, & prosperity."

I am motivated to make people happy. I am inspired to inspire. I believe that when I am engaged

in creating art or just looking at art, I can lose myself and can travel wherever and whenever  I

want.

I want the world to have that same feeling.

I get my greatest fulfillment from when a person can express themselves or how they feel from

the vibes of my artwork. My perspective is not the only perspective that matters. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I had a love for art since I was an elementary kid and I had a couple friends who have passed on

that I still feel that are pushing me spiritually. That force is unspeakable and unmeasurable!

I think that we sometimes make our stumbling blocks a little harder than they may seem. At all costs by all means necessary we must overcome things that beset us.

I didn’t come from a silver spoon family. Nevertheless, I was taught to love and do right.

Coming from a less than middle class family economically wise, I was taught to appreciate things and to be enriched through Godly means.

A lot of my art is a reflection of what I have already seen or feel or what I want to feel.

Lastly, I think the hardest thing that I may have done in life was complete Marine Corps recruit training. Not just physically demanding, mentally demanding.

My theory is–now that I have completed the hardest thing successfully, I can do anything else that I put my mind to– smarter, faster, harder.

It’s a marathon and it takes a village.

At the end of the day, Leroy Brown will prophetically produce profound pictures promoting peace, power, and prosperity.
